Jessica living in Florida, was 9 years old, a beautiful happy child who attened school and church. Disappeared February 23, 2005. She was a threat to no one.

It was reported that her school employed a man with a record as a sex offender of children and had served time, unknowingly. The Sheriffs office reportedly, had not received a notice that he was no longer living at the last address reported.

She was snatched from her sleeping bed by the man living within eyesight of her home where she lived with her father and grandparents. Her father was not home at the time. She was reported missing the next morning when her father entered her room to turn off the alarm she had set the previous evening, and she was not there. An extensive search was made at the surrounding area by the Sheriff's office and volunteers, including her devasted father.

In the meantime as evidence has provided, the registered sex offender who had served time, had traveled to Georgia. He was photographed on national television on an advertisement regarding smoking in restaurants. This was a coincidence. He was laughing, posing, and appeared as a happy man, not one who had murdered and raped a nine year old girl a few weeks earlier. He was discovered walking on the road by the Sheriff's office, who questioned him and was a prime suspect. He was imprisoned on not reporting his address. Upon questioning, he admitted that he had murdered Jessica. He was returned to Florida for imprisonment without bond. He provided information where her body was buried.

At long last Jessica's body was located through the assistance of cadaver dogs in an area searched before without the dogs, with no success, on March 19, 2005. Not far from where she lived. She had been raped, bound, buried alive, placed in a garbage bag bent over clutching her purple stuffed dolphin, which had been tied at both ends. She had suffocated.
