KAY KYSER BAND
Have listened on battery operated radios, danced, and honored to meet some of these Big Band artists of rythm whose music will never die out.  During WWII this music kept us together with memories.  Our soldiers were serving their country.  We back home possessed our memories only, until they returned home.  Many did not.

"The American Federation of Musicians imposed a recording ban beginning July 31, 1942 that lasted two years. The union only allowed bands to record V-discs for our troops during this period. Everyone resented the recording ban, and finally the powerful head of the AFM, James C. Petrillo, was persuaded to drop it".

Am selecting tunes and bands which were the more popular in this generation. Their music will live on.  We owe these great musicians many thanks for presenting the Big Band sounds, we will never forget. WeAmericans
